Publicado en: Revista de Producción Animal, v. 45, suplemento 1 : 355 (2025) El estrés térmico en bovinos lecheros, intensificado por el cambio climático, impacta negativamente en el bienestar, la productividad y el comportamiento alimentario de las vacas. El Índice de Temperatura y Humedad (ITH) es una herramienta ampliamente utilizada para evaluar la carga térmica (Grainger et al. 2009). A medida que el ITH aumenta, se observan respuestas fisiológicas y conductuales que comprometen la homeostasis, afectando negativamente la productividad (Lees et al. 2019). Trabajos previos por el grupo de trabajo muestran la reducción en el tiempo de rumia profundizando el estado energético negativo. En la cuenca central santafesina, se desconoce cómo varía el tiempo de comida según el número de lactancia y la gravedad de ITH. Este trabajo busca asociar el tiempo de alimentación en vacas Holando argentino de diferentes números de lactancia frente a distintos niveles de estrés térmico (ITH), durante la temporada de verano en la cuenca central santafesina.
