Tomato loss is a multifaceted problem, influenced by factors such as transport, storage, management practices and the behavior of consumers (Parimi & Chakraborty, 2022). These factors contribute to considerable loss long the tomato the value chain. A literature review was conducted in 2022 and revealed a lack of quantitative data on the fruits and vegetable loss along the value chain, which does not allow for the design of tailored-made interventions. This study was initiated to fill this information gap. The overall objective of this study is to quantify tomato postharvest losses along the value chain. |
