Sumario:The essay is written at the request of Nyköping municipality park management by Pat Radestedt who wanted a design proposal for one of the five courtyards at the Tessin School in Nyköping. The Tessin School is located 2 miles from the center of Nyköping and the school houses approximately 900 students. To make a design proposal for the courtyard that lies at the canteen I decided from the outset that I wanted to take some of the Tessin School Students' opinions and wishes regarding their own outdoor spaces. I had a workshop with eight students from the arts program with the image orientation in which they had to draw and tell them what they wanted to do in the courtyard. The outcome of the workshop, I used to move forward in my future work with a concept that fit into the environment, we then apply it in my final design proposal. To find out more about what impact green school environments have on children and young people's learning and what are the theories that serve children and adolescents have a responsibility in the community planning work I have also made a literature review. The final result was my final design proposal based on the students and the trustee’s desire for a more pleasant and efficient maintenance courtyard.
