Description
Summary:A study of the relationships between shrunk body weight (24 hours fast), warm carcass weight and empty body weight (body weight minus digestive tract contents) in 119 bullocks slaughtered in Turrialba over four years, is presented. The use of the following equation is recommended to predict empty body weight (Y) from carcass weight (X). Y = 41,0 + 1.363 X; standard deviation y x = 9.2 kh. The relative merits of shrunk body weight and carcass weight as predictors of empty body weight are discussed
