A technique of inoculation of fixed cocoa pods with Phytophthora palmivora (Butl.) Butl.

A standardized technique for field inoculation of cocoa pods with Phytophthora palmivora (Butl) Butl is described. A test experiment with cocoa clones of known field susceptibility confirms the usefulness of the technique.
