Applying tritiated gibberellins to seeds of fruit attached to the hee confirnt that in 'Laxton's. Superb, a strongly biennial flowering cultivar, more gibberellin moves ont of the fruit than in the more regular bearing 'Cox's Orange Pippir' The possible involventent of gibberellins diffusing from fruits in the inhibition of flower iniliation is discussed. |
