Description
Summary:Weed management in rice crops in Latin America: Problems and solutions Guidelines are proposed to manage weeds in rice crops in Latin America within a framework of sustainability and based on the principles of integrated weed management. Two aspects are emphasized: improved use of herbicides and how to avoid weeds from becoming resistant to the chemical compounds found in herbicides. The main factors affecting the increase in weed control costs are also described, and a list of the main herbicides currently used in rice is presented along with specific recommendations on how to select herbicides based on their characteristics.
