Se proponen pautas para manejar las malezas del arroz en América Latina dentro de un marco de sostenibilidad y según los principios del manejo integrado de malezas. En él se resaltan dos puntos: el mejor uso que se debe dar a los herbicidas y la forma de evitar que algunas malezas presenten problemas de resistencia a los compuestos químicos contenidos en los herbicidas.
