(CIAT) Se analizan brevemente la oferta, la disponibilidad y las caracteristicas de la tierra sembrada, los sistemas de cultivo, los rendimientos, el perfil socioeconomico de los productores, el vol. y los costos de produccion, y el mercadeo de los cultivos de raices y tuberculos en San Cristobal (batata, name, ocumo, malangay y papa). Se revisan las politicas gubernamentales relacionadas con la produccion de cultivos de raices. Solo hay una limitada produccion de almidon de yuca y HIY.
