The gender-transformative adaptations proposed integrate gender and social considerations in the selection of options; facilitate reflection about the distribution of resources and tasks; integrate and recognize local and traditional knowledge regarding weather and climate. Through engendering PICSA’s decision-making tools gender-responsive and gender-transformative change is expected.
