This presentation explores how African countries are developing long-term low emissions climate resilient development strategies (LT-LEDS), comparing examples from across the continent, and highlights key elements such as just transitions, gender integration, adaptation and mitigation measures, and institutional coordination. It also introduces a technical guidance framework to support countries in designing and operationalising LT-LEDS, detailing the phases, processes, and capacity needs involved in laying robust foundations for long-term climate planning. |
