Description
Summary:The rapid growth of the world population is creating a need for increases in the food supply. Genetic resources can play an important role in this, and one way of strengthening them is by improving the on-the-job performance of program leaders and scientists working in the area of genetic resources for food and agriculture. This Briefing Paper is based on the draft report titled ""Training Needs and Organizational Constraints Assessment. Human Resource Development for Genetic Resource Managers."" It describes the processes and findings of a training needs assessment that are expected to result in the production of a training module to meet the specific needs of program leaders.
