Descripción de la actividad
En el marco de la iniciativa del CGIAR de Políticas y Estrategias Nacionales (NPS), el Instituto Internacional de Investigación sobre Políticas Alimentarias (IFPRI) en conjunto con la Alianza de Bioversity Internacional y el CIAT están desarrollando herramientas de política a nivel nacional. Estos instrumentos incluyen la construcción de una matriz de contabilidad social, análisis de multiplicadores y elaboración de un modelo de equilibrio general. Lo anterior, facilita a los tomadores de decisiones diseñar y evaluar políticas que aborden los diversos factores que afectan a la economía, especialmente al sistema agroalimentario colombiano.
Con el fin de familiarizar y estandarizar el uso de estas herramientas, las instituciones aliadas realizarán el curso de “Instrumentos de análisis de políticas utilizando Modelos de Equilibrio General para Colombia” en este, los participantes lograrán hacer uso de matrices de contabilidad social, análisis de multiplicadores y modelos de equilibrio general que fortalecerán la toma de decisiones políticas y económicas en el país. Por lo tanto, con el objetivo de ampliar los conocimientos en todo lo relacionado con el curso, y resolver dudas, se realizará este seminario web de lanzamiento.
Description of Activitiy
Within the framework of the CGIAR’s National Policies and Strategies (NPS) initiative, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), in collaboration with the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, is developing national-level policy tools. These instruments include the construction of a social accounting matrix, multiplier analysis, and the development of a general equilibrium model. This enables decision-makers to design and evaluate policies that address various factors affecting the economy, particularly the Colombian agri-food system.
To familiarize and standardize the use of these tools, the partnering institutions will conduct the course “Policy Analysis Instruments Using General Equilibrium Models for Colombia.” During this course, participants will learn to employ social accounting matrices, multiplier analysis, and general equilibrium models, strengthening the formulation of policy and economic decisions within the country. To enhance understanding of the course content and address queries, this launch webinar will also be organized. |
