description The goal of the construction of an agroforestry-system at the Stationsmossen was to find an alternative way to use the area in an economically and environmentally sustainable way instead of turning it into a spruce-plantation. The Stationsmossen should also be available as a demonstrations site for farmers which have a similar question. It’s important to monitor the development of the experiment at the Stationsmossen for the entire rotation period, about 20 years to reach some kind of result to use in future consultations. Similar experiments would also have to be conducted on other types of soil and in different variations of spacing to find out the most optimal system for the Swedish climate.
