| Sumario: | The Mekong River flowing through Cambodia brings nutrients to the floodplains for crops cultivation through floods. However, the negative impacts of floods bring loss of lives and properties to the Cambodian villagers living along the floodplains. With the increasing evidence of Climate Change bearing down on Cambodia, this paper based on the Integrated Water Resources Management Framework investigated existing flood management policy of Royal Government of Cambodia with key focus on dealing with Climate Change and reducing the impacts on the local villagers. Through Participant Rural Appraisal method, there were strong evidences gathered from governmental officers and villagers that the policy was weak in implementing phase and had not protected the villagers from intensive flooding, but discovered the post flooding emergency relief was available and ready to be activated. |
