The results of the analyses with Heureka show that if the management plan is followed, the total recreational value will increase together with the growing stock. However, it is difficult to predict the financial result as Heureka does not consider all costs associated with maintenance of a park forest. |

I detta arbete användes dataprogrammet Heureka PlanWise för att forma en skogsskötselplan för ett parkskogsområde i Sundsvalls tätort som kommunen förvaltar. Arbetet grundade sig på indata från en skogsbruksplan. Arbetet hade som mål att ta fram en skogsskötselplan med syfte att stödja Sundsvalls kommun i deras arbete att sköta parkskogen. I arbetet att skapa skötselplanen så intervjuades Sundsvalls kommuns park- och skogsförvaltare för att ta reda på deras vision med parkskogen. En litteraturstudie gjordes för att sammanställa tidigare forskning på rekreationsskogar. Framtagandet av skötselplanen grundade sig på intervjun samtlitteraturstudien. Resultatet av detta arbete från analyser med Heureka visar på att om skötselplanen följs kommer det totala rekreationsvärdet att öka tillsammans med virkesförrådet.
