Sumario:This study explores perspectives on alternative medicine and digital healthcare technologies among medical doctors in Taiwan, Sweden, and Cuba. The research methodology utilizes semi-structured interviews. Symbolic interactionism is employed to frame and compare the behaviour of medical doctors in cross-cultural settings. The norms identified are evidence and non-evidence-based. These norms shape and influence an individual’s behaviour towards alternative medicine. Moreover, the results reveal many issues regarding digital healthcare technologies, such as: symbolic meanings, purposes of usage, expectations, problems, and possible solutions.
