The purpose of this study is to understand the adaptation strategies by the northern region people of Bangladesh against Monga-seasonal food insecurity. A qualitative approach has been used in this study and to assess the functionality of strategies for adaptation by the char dwellers in Rangpur against Monga-seasonal food insecurity has followed Talcott Parsons and his so-called AGIL system.
