With the use of tree inventory and semi-structured interviews the authors made an investigation about any risks and ecosystem services in an educational environment. With the help of this study, a deeper insight is shown in two specific cases. These two case studies present an interesting result regarding high values and low risks at two preschools in the municipality of Lund. This study discusses differences and similarities between two different preschools. The interview results convey that the educators value their preschool’s trees very highly and they see great advantages with a tree-enriched outdoor environment. The results from the tree inventories showed that no risk trees were identified. The interview results showed that there was no perceived risk among the teachers at both preschools regarding trees. The results form i-Tree-Eco showed that one of the preschools generated higher values than the other. With the help of the Swedish Transport Administration, the economic benefits of ecosystem services could be calculated in Swedish kronor. The annual economic gain was at preschool Djingis Khan SEK 2,832,63 and at the preschool Ormen Långe SEK 482,37. |

Träd är något som de flesta människor har någon form av koppling till, både positiva och negativa. Forskning visar på att en tidig koppling till träd kan gynna barns utveckling både kognitivt och motoriskt. Träd erbjuder även andra tjänster som gynnar oss människor, framförallt i städer, men även på landsbygden. Med hjälp av trädinventering och semistrukturerade intervjuer har en undersökning kring eventuella risker och ekosystemtjänster i en pedagogisk miljö undersökts. Med hjälp av denna studie visas en djupare insikt i två specifika fall. De två fallstudierna presenterar intressanta resultat kring höga värden och låga risker hos två förskolor i Lunds kommun. I studien diskuteras skillnader och likheter mellan de två olika förskolorna. Intervjuresultaten förmedlar att pedagogerna värderar sin förskolas träd högt och ser stora fördelar med en trädberikad utemiljö. Resultaten från trädinventeringarna visade på att inga riskträd identifierades. Intervjuresultaten visade på att ingen upplevd risk fanns hos pedagogerna på båda förskolorna. Resultaten från i-Tree-Eco visade på att en av förskolorna genererade högre värden än den andra. Med hjälp av trafikverket kunde ekosystemtjänsternas ekonomiska vinning beräknas i svenska kronor. Den årliga ekonomiska vinningen var hos förskolan Djingis Khan var 2 832,63 kronor och hos förskolan Ormen Långe var 482,37 kronor.
