The method of our work is to gather information from experts of beef cattle production, located in Brazil. We have also gathered information through studies of literature.
The factors that will have a big influence at the Brazil beef cattle production during the upcoming years is more efficient land use, lower age of slaughtering and extended use of feedlot-system.
Our conclusion is that the Brazil beef cattle will have a sharp increase during the next five years. The amount of pasture will not change during that time. We have no conclusion about how the price development of worlds beef production is going to change. |

Genom att förstå sig på marknadsutveckling för nötköttsproduktion i Världen kan man bättre värdera riskerna och möjligheterna vid vår produktion här i Sverige. Vi har valt att rikta våra blickar mot Brasilien och dess nötköttsproduktion då de är bland de största producenterna, har störst möjligheter att utvecklas vidare och till stor del påverkar världsmarknaden genom sin produktion. Tillvägagångssättet för att få fram information om hur den Brasilianska nötköttsproduktionen kommer att utvecklas har vi fått genom att besöka och intervjua personer i Brasilien med god inblick i branschen samt genom litteraturstudier. De faktorer som starkt kommer att påverka produktionsförändringarna under kommande år är främst effektivare marknyttjande, lägre slaktålder och ökad användning av feedlots. Vi har kommit fram till att nötköttsproduktionen i Brasilien kommer att öka betydligt under kommande 5 år, dock utan att arealen betesmark kommer att ändras.
