The storage environment is very important in the storage space. The humidity of the air shall be high during the whole storage period. The temperature shall gradually be reduced during the autum to a final temperature of four degrees. My summary are that the temperature should be the same in every storage spaces. There are a lot of theories of how reach this environment. |

Hur ska man gå tillväga för att behålla kvaliteten på potatisen under lagringsperioden med en så liten viktförlust som möjligt? Mitt mål med detta arbete är att få en inblick hur potatisknölen beter sig i lagringsutrymmet. Lagringsmiljön är väldigt betydelsefull i potatislagret. Luftfuktigheten ska vara hög under hela lagringsperioden. Hastigheten på luften i ventilationskanalen skall max vara 3 m i sekunden. Knölarna ska själv ta till sig luften genom självkonvektion. För stort luftflöde ger en uttorkad knöl och en större viktförlust som följd. Temperaturen ska sänkas successivt under hösten till en slutlig temperatur på 4 grader. Jag har kommit fram till att klimatet ska vara den samma i alla lagerhus. Sedan hur man uppnår detta klimat finns det olika teorier om.
