This paper tries to identify if some sort of general design expression is used in projects with requirements on ecological sustainability. In total, five projects have been compared in different areas such as choice of materials and their composition.
These projects have an ecologically sustainable processing of water in common, although most also have ecological consideration in other areas as well. All projects except one (Xochimilco) have been initiated in Sweden at the end of the last decade and the differing project has been added to show an alternative approach.
Since ecologic sustainability is a core factor for the relevance of inclusion of theses five sites in this paper, this term is discussed in depth, partly regarding what it entails but also how it's grown into common usage and how and in which context it's actually used. |

I den här uppsatsen undersöks och jämförs flera olika anläggningar i Sverige och dessutom en i Mexico med avseende på om kraven på ekologisk hållbarhet påverkat utformningen i någon grad. Kan det vara så att man, av olika anledningar, tänker naturlikt när man tänker ekologiskt och hur avspeglar det sig i den rumsliga och strukturella gestaltningen? Denna uppsats försöker svara på om man i ett gestaltningsprojekt med krav på ekologisk hållbarhet använder sig av något generellt formspråk och totalt fem projekt har analyserats i olika avseenden som till exempel materialval och hur dessa sammanfogats. Projekten har ekologiskt hållbar hantering av vatten som gemensam nämnare även om de flesta har ett ekologiskt förhållningssätt även i andra avseenden. Alla projekt utom ett (Parque Ecologico de Xochimilco) har initierats i Sverige i slutet av nittiotalet och det avvikande exemplet finns med för att visa på ett alternativt synsätt.
