The aim is to learn more about how the natural environment affects children, the importance of playing, and try to use this knowledge in a design of a day care centre. My main theme can be summarized in the following question: Why is natural elements in playgrounds considered to be healthy for children? I wanted to create a playground with natural characteristics which I myself would have appreciated as a child. In this study I chose to design a day care centre based on the knowledge I gained from the literature studies. The design is created for the day care centre "Holken" in Lund. I hope my proposed design will inspire the preschool teachers in Holken, as well as other interested persons. |

I hope my proposed design will inspire the preschool teachers in Holken, as well as other interested persons. Grunden till den här studien baseras på mina frågor kring om dagens lekplatser. Varför är de så fantasilösa? Vad tycker barnen? Kan man göra lekplatser mindre ”anlagda”, och mer naturtrogna? Arbetet börjar med en fördjupning i litteraturen, personliga referenser och tankar, för att därefter följas upp av ett praktiskt arbete. Studien syftar på att ta reda på naturens påverkan på barn, lekens betydelse, samt hur man kan tillämpa och föra in naturen i praktiken. Min ”röda tråd” kan sammanfattas i frågan: Varför anses ”Naturlekplatser” vara så nyttiga för barn? Jag ville skapa en naturlekplats som jag själv hade velat leka på som barn, och valde därmed att göra något fysiskt av all samlad information. Jag ville i ett försök skapa en lekplats med naturens element, och därmed blev förskolan Holken i Lund platsen för mina idéer.
