Detta examensarbete har som syfte att ta reda på hur försäljningen av lignoser i norra Norrland ser ut idag. Vidare undersöks också om en utveckling av lignosutbudet pågår och hur arbetet med denna utveckling i så fall ser ut. Vem eller vad som kan påverka så att fler härdiga lignoser kommer ut på marknaden har varit en central frågeställning.
Arbetet har inletts med en litteraturstudie vilken har resulterat i att ett antal begrepp beskrivs, med tyngdpunkt på härdighet och klimat. För att undersöka hur försäljningen av lignoser ser ut idag har försäljningsstatistik samlats in från tio handelsträdgårdar/plantskolor i norra Norrland. Vidare har det utifrån litteratur och med hänsyn till försäljningsstatistiken upprättats en lista över växtmaterial som har potential att användas mer i denna del av landet. För att få svar på frågan hur ett bredare sortiment kan nå ut på marknaden har intervjuer genomförts.
Av intervjuerna framgår det att trädgårdsföretag i denna del av landet arbetar för att öka produktutbudet av lignoser på flera olika sätt. Bland annat arbetar ett flertal med provodling vilket gör att de kan hitta nya härdiga växter och genom det utöka sortimentet. Utifrån detta dras slutsatsen att en utveckling av lignosutbudet pågår.
The limited supply of trees and shrubs in the northern part of Sweden might have a negative effect on consumer's interest in gardening. In this part of the country the assortment of trees and shrubs is limited to the ones with sufficient hardiness. However, it can be assumed that a wider range of plants have potential to sustain in this zone, than the ones seen in the garden centers today.
The aim of this work was first of all, to make a survey of the best selling trees and shrubs in the garden centers of northern Sweden today. Further on the aim was to investigate the potential for possible development of the range of hardy trees and shrubs for this part of the country.
Owners of garden centers in the north part of Sweden have been interviewed about the assortment of trees and shrubs. The central question has been whether they think they have the possibility to work for a wider range of trees and shrubs, hardy enough to be useable in the north part of Sweden.
It is concluded that the assortment of trees and shrubs tend to increase in northern Sweden. |
