The examination was done together with Stora Enso Skog. A new machine team and their supervisors where analyzed during a six month period. The evaluation was done with open interviews of the team members and their supervisors.
The main question was what should be included in an introduction program to develop a successful machine team as effective as possible? Interviews of the new team and analyses gave good indications how the procedure should be done. The results showed that following elements are necessary in an introduction program:
• A course program for machine, internal practical and theory courses should be scheduled.
• Approximately three weeks of preparation, where theory courses and responsibility questions should be dealt with.
• A special course on group dynamics, lead by the supervisors. How to give and take feed back is an important part for a new team.
• An introduction analysis made by an external person. This analysis should focus on the need for information, productivity and quality.
Questions about machine choice, production requirement and management are also discussed in the study.
In the discussion part a proposed time schedule for the introduction is introduced, as well as some risks that can happen if failures in the introduction of a new team. |

Studiens övergripande mål var att undersöka viktiga faktorer vid introduktionen av ett nystartat maskinlag. Syftet med studien var att identifiera vilka element som bör ingå i ett introduktionsprogram för nystartade maskinlag. Studien har utförts i samarbete med Stora Enso Skog. Ett nyuppstartat maskinlag samt lagets arbetsledning följdes och analyserades under ca sex månader. Efter sex månader utvärderades lagets introduktion. Utvärderingen skedde med hjälp av öppna intervjuer av samtliga lagmedlemmar och dess arbetsledning. De huvudfrågor som togs upp i studien var: • Vad bör ingå i ett introduktionsprogram för att så effektivt som möjligt utveckla ett framgångsrikt maskinlag? • Hur bör man gå tillväga vid introduktionen av ett nystartat maskinlag? Följande element befanns nödvändiga i ett introduktionsprogram: • Ett strukturerat schema för kurser och utbildningar. • Förberedelsetid för lagmedlemmarna, innehållande bl.a. uppställning av ansvarsområde och teoretiska kurser. Tiden för detta bör vara ca 3 veckor. • En specifik kurs inom ämnet gruppdynamik. • Introduktionsanalyser, som görs av en person utanför distriktet. Övriga viktiga frågor som bör belysas vid introduktionen är bland annat val av maskiner, krav på volymproduktion och arbetsledningsfrågor.
