In the same time there are many advisors that do not know how to handle TMR and farms that have a group based feeding of their animals.
In this MSc thesis, the knowledge of farmers that use TMR and advisors with lots of experience of TMR are gathered, with the aim to create a guide book for advisors that are about to start or just have started working with TMR. The thesis contains two parts, one questionnaire to farmers that use TMR and one part built on interviews with advisors and farmers.
To be successful with TMR, the farmer needs to strive for accuracy and consistency and have a good hand with the animals and the ability to read the animals. It is important to have a good management with precise routines and production- and management control points.
The advisor must be able to see the whole picture and evaluate the farm from each individual farms conditions and needs. The farmers prefer an advisor that they can discuss with and receive new ideas from. |

I Sverige finns det idag ett antal rådgivare och lantbrukare som har stor vana och kunskap av att arbeta med fullfoder och blandfoder. Samtidigt är det många som inte riktigt vet hur de ska arbeta med besättningar som använder fullfoder eller blandfoder och därmed grupputfodrar djuren. Detta arbete är ett försök att sammanställa kunniga lantbrukares och rådgivares åsikter och erfarenheter om fullfoder och blandfoder som en hjälp för de rådgivare som ska börja arbeta med grupputfodrade besättningar. Arbetet består av två delar, en enkätstudie och en del som bygger på djupintervjuer. För att lyckas bra med fullfoder ska lantbrukaren vara noggrann, ha bra djuröga och eftersträva kontinuitet. För att uppnå det är det viktigt med fasta skötselrutiner och regelbundna uppföljningar. Av rådgivaren krävs att han eller hon ser helheten och kan utgå från den enskilda gårdens förutsättningar.
