description In this degree project I have tried to analyse thoughts about what's important in the future work among students that are leaving the Land and animal husbandry programme. I have also asked employer to understand to what degree they knew about the coming employees thoughts about the future. The method was a questionnaire which was sent to 14 schools of Land and animal husbandry. The questionnaire was answered by students in their last schoolterm. I got 167 answers from students. 11 employer also were asked about their ideas conserning the students thoughts about their coming work. The questions where about wages, working environement, responsibility and further education. The questions were multiple choise. In some questions there was the opportunity to give personally alternative. The answer to the question about the status of the work with domesticated animals, was free for own commentary. In the comparing part between students and employers, there were four alternative for the answers. 1. not important, 2. fairly important, 3. important, 4. very important. The result of the study shows that the salary is "fairly important" to "important". To have good friends at work is "very important" . The students think it is more important to have good working environment than the employers think it is. The pupils do not think it is important with further education but my analyse about that is that the result are affected by the students longing for a work and a opportunity to earn their own money after twelve years at school. The most important result in this study is that the students think that work with domesticated animals have a high status. 31,3% gave that answer. The students also say that it is the people around them that look down on them at work. The students know that they have to be capable, competent and have the right feeling to be able to take care of the domesticated animals like cows, pigs and beefcows.

I det här examensarbetet har jag försökt ta reda på vad elever som slutar naturbruksgymnasiet tycker är viktigt på sin kommande arbetsplats. Tror arbetsgivarna att de vet vad den nyanställde tycker är viktigt? Jag har gjort en enkät på 14 naturbruksgymnasier. De tillfrågade eleverna går sista terminen på de treåriga naturbruksprogrammet med inriktning jordbruk/lantbrukets djur. 167 elever svarade på enkäten. Jag har även intervjuat 11 arbetsgivare på lantbruk om vad de tror att eleverna tycker. Frågorna handlar bland annat om lön, arbetsmiljö, ansvarstagande och vidareutbildning. Enkäten var utformad med givna svarsalternativ. På några ställen fanns det möjlighet att ge egna alternativ. På frågan om vilken status djurskötaryrket har fick de lämna kommentarer. Enkäten inriktar sig mycket på arbetet med lantbrukets djur där statusen ibland anses vara låg. Den jämförande delen mellan elever och arbetsgivare fick de tillfrågade fyra alternativ: 1. Inte viktig, 2. ganska viktig, 3. viktig, 4. mycket viktig. Resultatet visar att lönen är ”ganska viktig” till ”viktig”. Att ha bra arbetskamrater är mycket viktigt. Eleverna tycker det är viktigare med en bra arbetsmiljö än vad arbetsgivarna tror att de tycker. Eleverna tycker inte att det är så viktigt med vidareutbildning men det beror nog på att de efter tolv år i skolan vill ut och arbeta och tjäna pengar. Det viktigaste jag sett i denna enkät är att eleverna tycker att djurskötaryrket har en hög status. 31,3 % angav att yrket har en hög status. De tycker att det mer är omgivningen som ser ner på vad de gör.
