In this project three alternatives have been compared, 1st alternative: own produced grain approx. 400 ton + wet grain 415 ton purchased during fall, 2nd alternative: own produced grain approx. 400 ton + dry grain 415 ton purchased during winter, 3rd alternative: bought feed 815 ton purchased continuously during the year. Considering the price information provided to me the 1st alternative gave the cheapest feed.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är en allmän beskrivning av torkning och lagring av spannmål och en fallstudie med en jämförelse ekonomiskt mellan färdigfoder och egentillverkat foder. Fallstudien gjordes på Solhem i Hörby, en slaktsvinsgård med 1250 platser som producerar 3870 grisar om året. I detta arbete har tre alternativ jämförts, alternativ 1: egen producerad spannmål ca 400 ton + otorkad spannmål 415 ton som köps in på hösten, alternativ 2: egen producerad spannmål 400 ton + torkad spannmål 415 ton som köps in på vintern, alternativ 3: färdigfoder 815 ton som köps in kontinuerligt under året. Efter att ha räknat på de olika förslagen med den prisinformation som jag har fått, så var det alternativ 1 som gav den lägsta foderkostnaden.
