My conclusion is that with the prices we have to day, pork production is a hard

Syftet med detta arbetet är att se hur ekonomin påverkas inom grisproduktionen av de stora prissvängningarna som är idag. I kalkylerna har räknats fram hur mycket pengar som blir över till räntor och amorteringar. Jag valt att inte räkna kostnader på byggnader. Från början så är förutsättningarna bara en slaktsvinsproduktion med ca 10 000 producerade grisar på ett år. För att kunna integrera detta så har jag räknat med att man skulle bygga för 440 suggor i produktion, då skulle man inte behöva köpa in några grisar utifrån vilket är bra med tanke på smittorisk. Jag har tittat på arbetstidsåtgången både i slaktsvinstallar och i suggstallet, och gett något exempel på vad man kan göra för att få ner tidsåtgången i båda fallen. Jag har kommit fram till att det är inte så lätt att driva svinproduktion med dagens priser. Priserna behöver komma upp över 10,50 kr/kg och man behöver ha fram 25 smågrisar/sugga för att det ska se någorlunda ut. Det gör mycket på det ekonomiska resultatet om man lyckas att få fram några flera smågrisar/sugga.
