In this essay I have examined what the economic conditions are to invest in a bio fuel furnace. I have chosen to assume from a specific farm and do a case study on this farm. Malmvik farm is located just outside of Stockholm. Malmvik farm is a tillage farm, but also management of about 20 houses. Today all houses are heated separately with oil and electricity. In my case study a have chose to calculate with a furnace that you could use to heat grain, oil and splinter. In my case study I have examined what to take into consideration before accomplishing such a big investment. My calculations are based on information obtained from leaflets, Internet, retailers, advisers and authorities. Bio fuel is the fuel of the future. My calculations show that the investments are profitable already the first year. Most profitable is to heat with straw, furthermore the differences between heating with straw are small compared heating with grain and splinter. Irrespective what kind of bio fuel you use, the heating costs will decrease. The price of grain, splinter and straw may vary and will be valued differently, which is important and worth mentioning. |

Användningen av biobränsle ökar för varje år och idag finns ett flertal olika alternativ till olja och el uppvärmning. I detta examensarbete har jag undersökt vad det finns för ekonomiska förutsättningar att investera i en biobränslepanna. Jag har valt att utgå från en specifik gård och göra en fallstudie på denna. Malmviks gård ligger utanför Stockholm och här bedrivs växtodling samt förvaltning av ett 20tal fastigheter. I dagsläget värms varje hus separat med olja eller el. I mitt arbete har jag valt att kalkylera i en panna som det går att elda både spannmål, olja och flis med. Jag har även gjort en litteraturstudie där jag undersökt vad man bör tänka på och ta reda på innan man börjar projektera en så här stor investering. Som underlag för min litteraturstudie och mina beräkningar har jag använt mig av broschyrer, internet, återförsäljare, rådgivare och myndigheter. Biobränsle är framtidens bränslekälla och mina kalkyler och beräkningar visar att det lönar sig redan första året att göra denna stora investering. Mest lönsamt är det att elda med halm, sedan skiljer det inte så mycket mellan flis och spannmålseldning. Oavsett vad man satsar på så minskar man sina uppvärmningskostnader, men det bör nämnas att priset på spannmål, flis och halm varierar och värdesätts olika och det bör beaktas.
