The goal has been to collect data through studies of visitors and close by residents in
the three areas. The results are to be used as primary values for the follow-up as well
as a basis for managerial decisions. The interviews and surveys are also constructed in
a fashion so that they can be used for the follow-up study.
For the Skutan recreational area the mode of contact was by sending forms to the
nearby residential areas. At Ugglevikskällan interviews where made on site. In the
Paradiset Reserve registration of license plates on cars was used to get in contact with
the persons who had parked their vehicle at a central part of the area.
For each of the three studied areas collecting data has made the work somewhat
complicated. Of the three methods used the outcomes in the Paradiset Reserve and at
Ugglevikskällan has been the most successful. Development of the method for data
collection is although desirable for the follow up study. For Skutan recreational area
the number of respondents can be increased by contact with the visitors that arrive by
car as well as performing interviews on site. In the Paradiset reserve an increased
effort in collecting car numbers is needed and at Ugglevikskällan more time to do the
interviews is needed to increase the selection of respondents. For the three areas the
results are fairly similar, the nature of the area and the number of respondents as well
as the mode of contact are some of the parameters that have an impact on the
difference between the areas studied. In general the respondents are positive to the
areas that they are visiting. When comparing negative and positive aspects the
respondents are more positive than negative although there are naturally negative
aspects as well. |

Detta examensarbete är utfört som den första av två besökarstudier i tre tätortsnära skogsområden. Dessa är; Skutans friluftsområde i Haninge, Ugglevikskällan på Norra Djurgården i Stockholm och Paradisets Naturreservat i Huddinge. Arbetet är utfört i samarbete med de ansvariga för de tre områdena inom ramen för EU:s Life Projekt: Tätortsnära skog för människan. Målet har varit att ta fram data genom att studera besökare och närboende i de tre aktuella områdena. De resultat som framkommer skall dels användas som startvärden för en uppföljning samt som beslutsunderlag för de ansvariga i de tre områdena. Intervjuer och enkäter har formats så att en uppföljning är möjlig. Som kontaktformer har följande metoder använts; för Skutans friluftsområde användes utskick av enkäter till de boende i närliggande bostadsområden. Vid Ugglevikskällan gjordes direktintervjuer. För Paradisets Naturreservat användes bilregistret för att komma i kontakt med de personer som parkerat sina bilar vid en för området centralt belägen plats. För samtliga områden har datainsamlingen komplicerat arbetet. Av de tre metoderna har de använda vid Paradisets Naturreservat och Ugglevikskällan visat sig vara de mest lyckade. En utveckling de tre metoderna för datainsamling är önskvärd vid uppföljningen. Gällande Skutans Friluftsområde kan antalet respondenter ökas genom att kontakta de bilburna besökarna samt via direktintervjuer. För Paradisets Naturreservat bör man vara mer aktiv under insamlandet och vid Ugglevikskällan behövs att mer tid läggs ned på intervjuerna för att öka urvalet. I huvudsak ligger resultaten för de tre studerade områden relativt nära varandra. Områdenas beskaffenhet, antalet svarande och typen av kontaktfrom är några av de parametrar som påverkat skillnader i resultaten. Överlag är respondenterna positivt inställda till de tre studerade områdena. Sett till positiva respektive negativa egenskaper tas i regel långt fler positiva egenskaper upp av de som deltagit i studien även om det naturligtvis finns negativa aspekter.
