time. To make it easier for the farmers they can use many computer programs which
are available on the market. In this program they can calculate their costs of
maintaince on their agriculture machines, for example STANK and JTI machine
calculation program. Most of this program is using Svensson (1987) costs model
whish was made in Sweden in the middle of 80 decade in a large study. When the
farmer want to exchange his machine and se if it's profitable to doe that or if he want
to compare whit other machines to se if his costs is normal he can use this programs.
This work is mend to see if the computer programs give farmers the right information
about costs maintaince on round balers. 10 farmers who own a round baler has been
interviewed about their costs of maintaince on their machine in the season 2005. The
costs they have told me has bean compared with the calculation model to se if there is
any difference.
I similar project was made by Pålsson, Rydheimer, (2005), they did a project where
they studied costs of maintaince on combine harvesters, they did an interview and the
material was work up in Stank. They found out that the model got a value which was
in average 49,4 % higher than the combines in the study.
The result of this study is that 8 of 10 round balers got a higher cost of maintaince in
the model than the study. In average they got a valuable that was in average 45 %
higher than the round balers in the study. I can not se any connection as shows that an
older machine got a higher costs of maintaince, but a machine which is used many
hours on one year got a higher cost, but in another hand you will have to divide this
on more hours.
The result I have receive you shouldn't do to big conclusions about, only 10 machines
toke part in the study, in the future a larger study whit more machines and over a
longer time is necessary to get a result that is more reliable.
Conclusions:
• Machine calculation program got a higher costs of maintaince on 8 of 10
round balers compared to my study.
• The machine calculation got a valuable that was in average 45 % higher than
the round balers in the study.
• Own work amount to 25 % of the total costs of maintaince in this study,
calculation program count with 35 %.
• The model got a costs of maintaince which point upwards when the machine is
used more, I cant se any connection that shows that in my study.
• Those machines which got the highest costs of maintaince where they who is
used between 101-200 hours/ year, they stood for 40 % of all machines in this

Underhållskostnader på lantbruksmaskiner är något som många lantbrukare har dålig kunskap om, dels beroende av dåligt intresse men även pga. tidsbrist. För att underlätta för den enskilda lantbrukaren finns på marknaden många olika dataprogram för att beräkna underhållskostnaderna på maskiner, bland annat STANK och JTI maskinkalkyl. De flesta programmen använder sig av Jan Svenssons kostnadsmodell som arbetades fram i mitten av 80 talet i en stor studie. Dataprogrammen är till stor nytta när man vill undersöka om en eventuell investering är lönsam eller om man vill jämföra om sin egen maskin avviker från det normala. Detta arbete går ut på att en intervju har gjorts med 10 lantbrukare som äger en rundbalspress av fixkammar typ, de har blivit uppmanade att lämna ut uppgifter om de kostnader som rör underhållet på sin maskin under säsongen 2005. Dessa värden har sedan jämförts med maskinkonsulenternas kalkylmodell för att se om värdena avviker från varandra. Ett liknade arbete gjordes i ett examensarbete gjort av Pålsson och Rydheimer (2005) där man jämförde 20 tröskors underhållskostnader med hjälp av intervjuer hos lantbrukare och en bearbetning i STANK. Man fann att STANK fick ett värde som var igenomsnitt 49,4 % högre än studiens tröskor. Resultat av denna studie blev att 8 av 10 rundbalspressar fick en för hög underhållskostnad genom beräkningar i kalkylmodellen. I genomsnitt var underhållskostnaden 45 % högre i kalkylmodellen jämfört med studiens rundbalspressar. Något samband mellan stigande maskinålder och ökad underhållskostnad kan inte ses, däremot ger en högre årlig användning en högre total underhållskostnad men kostnaderna slås i sin tur ut på fler körda timmar med maskinen. Man skall dock inte dra allt för stora slutsatser av resultatet som fåtts fram, endast 10 maskiner ingår i arbetet, man bör följa fler maskiner och under en längre tidsperiod för att få ett mer tillförlitligt resultat. Slutsatser: • Efter beräkningar i kalkylmodellen fick 8 av 10 rundbalspressar en för hög underhållskostnad jämfört med mitt insamlade material. • Kalkylmodellen fick ett värde som var i genomsnitt 45 % högre än studien. • Eget arbete står för 25 % av den totala underhållskostnaden i studien, kalkylmodellen räknar med 35 %. • Kalkylmodellen får en underhållskostnad som pekar uppåt med en ökad årlig användning, något liknande samband tycker jag mig inte se i underökningen som gjorts. • De maskiner som hade högst kostnad var de maskiner som låg mellan 101 och 200 timmar årlig användning, dvs. 40 % av de medverkande maskinerna.
