All contractors got a questionnaire to fill in and return within a given date. The percentage of answers was 48 % at the first stage and further 11 % answered after reminder.
The result of the investigation indicated that the contractors in general have a positive attitude to Sydved and the way that the company acts. The "contractors' web site" concept is highly accepted and appreciated, although they point out some necessary improvements. The main weak point seems to be that the purchasers do not continuously put in comprehensive contract documentation for the job area in time before the job is going to start. Lack of information or late information can easily result in a poor job result.
According to the contractors opinion another area of great importance is communication and feedback. 65 % of them agreed on this statement and among these, 37 % stated that the responsible contact person/purchaser should always follow up a completed contract.
The majority of the contractors believes in bigger machines in the future that are capable of giving better comprehensive services and as many as 54 % would be willing to invest in new machinery if the conditions were okay. Most decisive will be an improved profitability and the availability of competent machine operators. In general most of the contractors have the opinion that Sydved must listen more to the forest owners' point of view in order to improve the confidence and improve the conditions for better business opportunities in the future.
Based upon the contractors answers there is a general optimism for the future cooperation, provided that Sydved work hard to solve those problem areas pointed out in this report. |

Den här rapporten är ett examensarbete som utförts i samarbete med Sydved och deras entreprenörskår. Undersökningen berörde samtliga ”ordinarie” entreprenörer inom Sydved. Den undersöker bland annat entreprenörernas attityder gentemot Sydveds samarbete och hur framtidens entreprenörer eventuellt kommer att framstå. Samtliga berörda entreprenörer fick en frågeenkät att besvara och returnera ifylld. Svarsfrekvensen var 48 % efter utsatt slutdatum. Ytterliggare 11 % av svaren inkom efter en extra insatt telefonpåtryckning. Resultatet av undersökningen visar på att entreprenörerna är positivt inställda till Sydveds agerande gällande samarbetet parterna i mellan. Beträffande entreprenörswebben är det ideliga positiva tongångar runt konceptets idéer. Den största bristen som framkommit, är att inköparna inte kontinuerligt lägger in fullständiga arbetsbeskrivningar på entreprenörernas traktbanker i god tid innan arbetet har påbörjats. I och med att informationsöverföringen inte sköts tillfredsställande från den ena partnern sida blir följaktligen inte häller motpartens åtagande korrekt skötta. Angående kommunikationen och feedbacken från Sydveds sida önskas det avsevärt mer av entreprenörerna. 65 % av dem som ansåg att responsen är för dålig eller var tveksamma till om den uppfyller gälland behov, svarade 37 % att: Varje ansvarig kontaktman/inköpare borde kontinuerligt följa upp samtliga slutförda arbeten. I framtiden tror sig majoriteten av Sydveds entreprenörer se en utveckling mot allt större maskinenheter med ett heltäckande servicetagande. Detta understöds även av att 54 % är villiga att nyinvestera i framtiden om rätt förutsättningar finns. Dessa premisser består bland annat av en ökande lönsamhet och att kompetent personal finns att tillgå. En allmän uppfattning som delas av många entreprenörer, är att Sydved bör bli mer lyhörda för vad markägaren har att säga, för att på så vis öka förtroendet och möjligheterna till framtida virkesinköp. Slutsatsen blir utifrån entreprenörernas svar att det finns en stor optimism in för det framtida samarbetet. Det vikigaste i sammanhanget är att Sydved jobbar kontinuerlig för att lösa de problem som framförts under resultatdelen så att entreprenörerna känner sig betydelsefulla och uppskattade.
