The work process has covered a description of the garden of today, review of requirements, analysis of the garden sections, design of a new plan as well as starting the construction of the new garden.
The plan covers a time period of a couple of years to create the new garden since the
construction work is carried out during spare time with small resources available. The planning must contain review of functions such as protection from insight, eating area and compost area.
Also the esthetic expression must be planned. Colors, shapes, choice of material and plants together make up the esthetic expression.
It is recommended to include anything you wish to create in the garden. In a raised garden one has to overcome the step to remove trees and shrubs and think different. This can be particularly hard for a garden owner that has planted and taken care of the garden for a long time. Make sketches on paper and in your head. Try to exchange a too big plum tree with a beautiful magnolia if this is a favorite. Hedges must not necessarily be planted along edges of the garden but can also be planted near the house walls to create a protected outdoor area.
My work has also resulted in the design and construction of a small pond. A well-maintained pond gives a fresh feeling in the garden and highlights both plants and materials. The water surface may be a mirror that makes the garden room look bigger.

Syftet har varit att ta ett helhetsgrepp gällande den långsiktiga utvecklingen. Arbetsprocessen har omfattat beskrivning av nuläget, genomgång av krav och önskemål, analys av trädgårdens olika delar, framtagning av ny plan samt att den nya trädgården påbörjats. I mitt fall sträcker sig planen för den önskade trädgården några år fram i tiden eftersom arbetet att bygga trädgården utförs på fritiden med begränsade resurser. I planeringen ingår att tänka igenom vilka funktioner såsom insynsskydd, matplatser och kompost som ska finnas. Även det estetiska i trädgården måste planeras. Färger, former, material och växter gör det estetiska uttrycket. Planen för trädgården bör innehålla allt man önskar sig av sin trädgård. I en uppvuxen trädgård måste man våga ta bort träd och buskar och tänka i nya banor. Detta kan vara svårt särskilt om det är en trädgård som man själv planterat och skött om. Skissa på papper och i huvudet. Våga byta ut det förvuxna plommonträdet mot en magnolia om det är en favorit. En häck behöver nödvändigtvis inte stå i tomtgränsen utan kan placeras nära huset för att skapa ett intimt rum för en uteplats. Arbetet har också resulterat i att en liten damm har designats och blivit påbörjad. En välskött damm ger en fräsch känsla i trädgården och lyfter fram växter och material.
