Mitt syfte med arbetet var att skaffa mig grundläggande kunskap om ljussättning och ljuskällor, för att sedan skissa på koncept för det lilla trädgårdsrummet.
För att lyckas med detta behövde jag ta reda vad ljus är och hur det fungerar. Ljuset har många olika egenskaper, t ex olika våglängder, och färger. Vilka ljuskällor finns det och hur väl stämmer de överrens med min eftersökta ljussättning? Vilka är de bästa att använda ur min synpunkt? Det här var några frågor jag jobbade med. Men även praktiska tips på hur man börjar ljussätta, vad man ska tänka på innan, men även under arbetets gång. Jag var på besök på en teater för att se hur en ljussättare jobbar och ställa några frågor om ljussättning. Där fick jag även se hur ljuset användes för att skapa rum, och stämningar.Till sist gjorde jag ett litet experiment där jag undersökte vilken färg vatten faktiskt har under ytan och hur ljusinstrålningen ser ut. Sist men inte minst gjorde jag fem olika koncept. Där använde jag olika sorters trädgårdsrum och miljöer för att skapa lite annorlunda koncept. Koncepten är tillämpningar av min litteraturstudie. Efter min litteraturstudie kom jag fram till fem punkter som jag tycker är extra viktiga. Färgåtergivning som beskriver en ljuskällas förmåga att återge färger, Bländning som gör att trädgården ser ändå mörkare ut för att ögat är bländat. Ljusfördelningen är mycket viktig för rumsuppfattningen. Ljuskällorna är viktiga pga sina olika kvaliteter och färgåtergivning, och till sist en inte fullt så teknisk punkt. Att veta vad man vill innan man börjar belysa. Vilken stämning söker man? Vad vill man förstärka/ dölja? Detta arbetet ville jag skulle bli en inspiration till andra, inte en teknisk text och jag tror och hoppas att jag har lyckats. Jag skulle själv vilja sätta igång med ett belysnings projekt i liten skala efter detta, det har varit mycket intressant och nu vet jag lite mer om själva processen än jag gjorde innan.
Summary
Since The cold Sweden gets dark quite early in the evening in autumn, winter and spring, I wanted to see how to extend the use of the small garden room, both in time per day and in time per season. I find illumination to be an important part of the creation; it makes the garden more living. My purpose with this work was to get basic knowledge of lighting and the source of light, for making sketches and concepts concerning the little garden room. To succeed I needed to find out what light is and how it works. The light has many different qualities, for example different wavelength, colours. Which different light sources are there and how well do they match the illumination I want? Which is the best from my point of view, these where some of the questions I've worked with. But also more practical tips on how to start, what to think of before and during the illumination. I visited a theatre to see how they work with light, and how they use the light to create a spatial feeling and different moods. I also made a small experiment, where I investigated which colour water actually have under the surface and how the rays of light look. Last but not least I made five different garden concepts. I used different garden rooms and surroundings to make the concepts a bit different. The concepts are applications of my literature study. After my study I realized five more important things. Colour rendering, describes a light source ability to render colour, Blinding makes the garden look even darker then before, because the eye is blind. Light distribution is very important for the comprehension of the room. Light sources are important as to their different qualities and colour rendering, and last a not that technical point. To know what You want to illuminate. Which mood are You looking for? What would You like to enhance/ conceal? I wanted this paper to become an inspiration for others, not a technical text and I think and hope I have succeeded. I myself would like to start a small illumination project after this. It has been very interesting and I know now more about the process then I did before. |
