description There are plenty of exciting changes being developed in Tre Högar´s Park, which is located in the district of Linero, eastern Lund. A project group representing Linero If, Lugi Tennis and Linero/Östra Torn Health centre, has been created and is responsible for managing a development project of the Park. Their main focus is to create sports, exercise, health-promotion, health-care, recreation and rehabilitation facilities. They view the park area as having great potential and will transform it into a purpose built park for Health and Exercise. There are various authorities involved with and engaged in the scheme; aside from the project group, the municipality of Lund, The sport association of the handicapped and local schools are being consulted. The purpose of my degree project is to create one design proposal for Tre Högar's Park. It will be based on an inventory of the park, on the wishes and requirements of all the involved parties and will take into consideration of all other aspects that affect the design as well as appropriate literature and research. My method will include an inventory of the park, a questionnaire investigation, sources of knowlegde and inspiration such as literature, a seminar, interviews and a study visit. During the design process, sketching has been essential in order to solve various problems. The results of the project show that Tre Högar´s Park in many ways offers ideal conditions for health- promoting activities because of its beautiful surroundings and already existing resource facilities. However, in order to attract people the park must present a variation of places - all with a high security and availability. In order to get a higher security, large parts of the vegetation have been felled along the walks and around places for activities. The area around Vikingahallen and the playground have become flat and available for everyone. There are a lot of new places for physical activities and social fellowships in the park. You can do different sports and exercises and meet people in the café, for a barbecue, at the pond etc. There are also places and walks for private get-aways. My proposal is based on my own analyses of the park, the questionnaire investigation, litterature and concrete facts that I have received during the project. However, my conclusions are that a landscape architect has an incredibly important task in creating an attractive and health-promoting environment and that the process of dealing with problems plays a vital part in the actual design. It has been instructive and interesting to work with a real project and I hope that my efforts can be of mayor benefit to the project group in their future work with Tre Högar´s Park.

It has been instructive and interesting to work with a real project and I hope that my efforts can be of mayor benefit to the project group in their future work with Tre Högar´s Park. 2006-06-26 Other NonPeerReviewed application/pdf sv https://stud.epsilon.slu.se/11065/1/hjertqvist_s_171002.pdf Hjertqvist, Sofia, 2006.
