From the results it can be concluded that the way these dogs are built has a large influence on their health, particularly when it comes to respiration and giving birth. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att ta reda på hur det brachycephaliska utseendet påverkar hundarnas hälsa. Arbetet begränsades genom att vi koncentrerade oss på fem av de vanliga trubbnosiga raserna i Sverige. Material till arbetet hämtades via litteraturstudier, enkätundersökningar, en skriftlig intervju och genom att söka information på olika Internetsidor. Efter en sammanställning av resultatet kan vi konstatera att de brachycephala hundarnas kroppsbyggnad och speciella utseende påverkar deras hälsa till stor del, framför allt när det gäller andning och förlossning.
