Sumario: | The main activities carried out by the Institute in Guyana during 2018 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as apiculture, food security, school gardening, water management, food safety, use of alternative energies, such as solar energy and pest control, such as the fruit fly, present in carambola, classical swine fever and the management of invasive species. Likewise, work was done to improve nutrition in schools, the management of slaughterhouses and the provision of food to those affected by drought and floods. Finally, sustainable development, economic development, financing, micro-enterprises and the use of shade houses were supported.
