Summary: | The main activities carried out by the Institute in Dominica during 2018 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as food security, exports, resilience against climate change, organic waste management, sustainability, family farming, water management, governance and organic agriculture. Likewise, work was done on composting, with the use of vermicomposting and vermiculture for composting. In addition, collaboration was provided in dealing with the losses caused by Hurricane María and coffee production was strengthened. Finally, support was provided for financial management, protected area management, farm certification and insurance, and the implementation of vetiver technology for soil management.
