Summary: | The main activities carried out by the Institute in Barbados during 2017 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as agrotourism, livestock, risk management, water resource management, sustainability, leadership, plant health and animal, crop production, tree production and in resilience against climate change. Likewise, technical assistance was provided to support agricultural health, pest control, such as citrus greening, sheep, cattle and rabbit breeding. Finally, work was done on alliances between the public and private sectors, on the inclusion of youth in agricultural issues, training, and on combating drug theft.
