Sumario: | The main activities carried out by the Institute in the Bahamas during 2017 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as beekeeping, agro-ecotourism, rural development, financing, plant health, resilience against climate change and health and food safety, through the Codex Alimentarius. Likewise, technical assistance and training were provided to young people for their inclusion in agriculture, as well as to fishermen. Finally, the production of turmeric, phytosanitary processes, the use of geospatial technology, national and international cooperation and the use of climate modified organisms were strengthened.
