Sumario: | The main activities carried out by the Institute in Suriname are identified, during the period from 2010 to 2017, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as agrotourism, fruit growing, horticulture, composting, sustainability, governance, management of natural resources, irrigation systems, use of biofertilizers, organic agriculture, use of greenhouses, risk management, risk mapping, resilience against climate change, water and soil management. Likewise, work was done on the use of greenhouses, biofuels, drought control, pest and disease control, such as the fruit fly. Finally, support was given to improving the value chains of cassava and chili, as well as the inclusion of women in agriculture.
