| Summary: | The main activities carried out by the Institute in the United States during 2016 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as public policies, trade, food security. biotechnology, sustainability, financing, innovation, resilience against climate change, risk management, animal and plant health, through the Codex Alimentarius. Likewise, work was done to improve alliances between the private sector, productivity, relations between national and regional organizations, and competitive and inclusive agriculture. Finally, support was given to improving value chains and the control of non-communicable diseases.
