Its goal is to develop a regulatory and operational framework to govern access and the equitable distribution of benefits derived from biodiversity, fostering intersectoral cooperation and sustainable development. Additionally, the project focuses on training key stakeholders, such as indigenous communities, academics, and entrepreneurs, in negotiating access and benefit-sharing agreements, promoting conservation and the responsible use of genetic resources. It also seeks to enhance regional cooperation in Latin America through the exchange of experiences and best practices.
