With a budget of €19 million, it seeks to strengthen sustainable food production, improve distribution, promote healthy diets, and expand social protection. It also addresses challenges such as import dependence and health barriers that affect intraregional trade. To this end, it proposes strengthening controls, improving the quality of agricultural and fishery products, and promoting policies that support food resilience. El documento trata sobre un programa de la Unión Europea para mejorar la seguridad alimentaria en el Caribe. Con un presupuesto de 19 millones de euros, busca fortalecer la producción sostenible de alimentos, mejorar la distribución, promover dietas saludables y ampliar la protección social. También aborda desafíos como la dependencia de importaciones y obstáculos sanitarios que afectan el comercio intra-regional.
