Sumario:The report refers to the threats of climate change facing the countries of the Caribbean Community, despite producing relatively small amounts of greenhouse gas emissions. To address this, CARICOM nations have committed to Nationally Determined Contributions under the Paris Agreement. The AgREADY project, funded by the Green Climate Fund, conducted a regional scoping study to identify opportunities to incorporate agriculture into future updates of Nationally Determined Contributions. The study found that while agriculture has generally not been included in mitigation targets, many agriculture adaptation actions could provide greenhouse gas emission reduction co-benefits. As a result Three of the five updated Nationally Determined Contributions submitted have incorporated agriculture into the mitigation goals.
