The primary purpose of the study was to carry out a systems analysis of the existing information system in the agricultural sector in order to define users' problems and needs; scope of the present information system; existing resources; guidelines for the installation of a viable information system, and a list of immediate actions for building it. This analysis is intended as a necessary first step in the implementation of a management information system that effectively supports decision making in the agricultural sector.
