| Summary: | The main activities carried out by the Institute in Belize during 2019 are identified, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, contributing to issues such as food security and safety, tourism, financing, bioeconomy, sustainability and apiculture. Likewise, work was done on the social and economic development of the banana communities; in mitigating hidden hunger and reducing the levels of non-communicable diseases, monitoring antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Finally, resilience to climate change was strengthened, especially in forested areas.
