El presente estudio tuvo como finalidad reajustar un modelo de crecimiento y rendimiento existente para las plantaciones de Pinus caribaea var hondurensis en "La Sabana", Oaxaca, utilizando nuevos datos de las mismas parcelas para el modelo anterior y otras diferentes. Se utilizó la distribución Weibull para modelar las distribuciones de diámetros. Los parámetros de esa distribución fueron estimados mediante los percentiles muestrales 24, 50, 63 y 93 avo. y el diámetro menor. Los parámetros estimados se relacionaron, utilizando la regresión múltiple, con algunas características del rodal, que a su vez pueden ser proyectadas en el tiempo con la expresión polimórfica de diferencia algebraica de Chapman-Richards, permitiendo así la "recuperación" de los parámetros de la distribución Weibull a diferentes edades. En este estudio el incremento medio anual (IMA) del volumen total comercial culmina a las edades de 30, y 25 años (13,9 17,3 y 21,4 m3/ha), aproximadamente para los índices de sitio 12, 15 y 18 m (edad base 15 años) respectivamente. This study was designed to fit an existing growth and yield model for Pinus caribaea var. hondurensis plantations in La Sabana, Oaxaca, México, using one more measurement of the original set of plots, plus an additional set. The Weibull function was used to model the diameter distribution of the sample. The weibull parameters were estimate throughout the 24th, 50th, 63rd and 93rd sample percentiles and the smallest diameter. The estimated parameters were related by multiple regression to stand variables, which in turn were projected as a function of stand age through the polymorphic form of the Chapman-Richards model according to the algebraic difference approach, allowing the recovery of the function parameters in order to recreate the diameter distribution at the end of each forecasting period.
