Se determinó la variabilidad en las características florísticas de 14 parches de bosque de Guadua angustifolia Kunth (guaduales) localizados en el eje cafetero colombiano en paisajes de llanura luvial y colinas. El tamaño de los guaduales varió entre 9,6 y 42 ha. Los regímenes de aprovechamiento eran distintos, aunque la mayoría tenían más de 20 años de estar siendo aprovechados. El análisis de composición determinó dos grupos de guaduales diferenciados estadísticamente por nueve especies, por la abundancia de la vegetación de regeneración, abundancia de individuos menor igual que 10 cm dap y de arbustos, y por la riqueza y diversidad florística. Los parches sobre llanuras aluviales difirieron de manera significativa con los de terrazas fluvio-volcánicas en cuanto a la abundancia de palmas en la categoría menor que 10 cm, área basal de guadua, riqueza y diversidad. Entre tanto, las diferencias entre los guaduales agrupados por su localización geográfica se dieron principalmente en la abundancia de arbustos y la diversidad expresada por el índice de Shannon. Structural and floristic characteristics of 14 forest patches dominated by Guadua angustifolia Kunth ('guaduales') in the Colombian coffee region were determined on alluvial flatlands and hills. The patches area varied from 9.6 to 42 ha with different logging intensities even though most of them have been logged for twenty years or more. According to the patch floristic composition analysis, two groups were determined and statistically differentiated by nine species, by natural regeneration and shrub abundance and richness, and abundance of minor than 10 cm dbh individuals. The patches on alluvial flatlands were statistically different from those on hills in relation to palm abundance, guadua basal area, richness and Alpha diversity index.
